GORDON SMITH

Gordon Smith (also known as Big G) is a singer/songwriter from Bangor in Northern Ireland.

​

From 1986 until the late nineties Gordon played drums in a number of bands performing various genres including country, pop, rock and blues. It was during his tenure in a blues band, "Running On Empty", that Gordon first had an original song of his performed (he was not the vocalist at the time. That came later).

​

In the late nineties Gordon formed a country music duo of keyboard and guitar with Gordon playing the keyboard and performing lead vocals.

By the start of the new millenium Gordon had recorded his first album "Renegade" comprising ten of his own compositions and was now performing as a solo vocalist in various venues around the province. 

​

In 2011 Gordon did some training in audio production and between 2011 and 2012 worked as a recording enginneer but the lure of the stage was too much and Gordon began to record and perform live again.

​

Gordon continues to write, record and perform his own songs while also performing a selection of covers.
